Modern Foreign Languages are among the most highly sought after of all A level qualifications and will enhance any student’s employment prospects. The study of foreign languages, literatures and cultures is also an enthralling academic discipline in its own right. French A level will be delivered by a team of highly experienced linguists and native speakers, dedicated to enabling greater fluency and high level understanding of the discipline.

COURSE OUTLINE

AS level
The course is based around four topic areas:
1. Youth Culture and Concerns
2. Lifestyle: Health and Fitness
3. The World Around Us: Travel, Tourism, Environmental Issues and the French-Speaking World
4. Education and Employment

AS level
A2 includes these same topic areas as well as Customs, Traditions, Beliefs and Religions. National and international events: past, present and future Literature and the arts are also covered at A2.

PROGRESSIONAL/CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Careers involving languages include translation and interpreting work as well as adding a highly desirable dimension to any career portfolio. Fluency in an additional language vastly enhances any individual’s ability to work internationally.
